Art Therapy

A Quick Intro Statement on Art Therapy...

Art Therapy is a form of expressive therapy, which uses the creative process of art making for self exploration, healing, insight and growth. Art Therapy provides a safe, non threatening space for individuals to express and process freely through various art materials. Anyone can benefit from individual art therapy and no artistic talent is required, just an openness to try something new.

Learners attain experience through play and open-ended activities. Each session is led by the imagination which allows them the chance to explore the world around them and see how things work. An arts focused exploration provides a safe environment to explore both independence and collaboration with the therapist. It also creates a safe space to process self expression, imagination, creativity and opens up ways to understand difficult abstractions.
